38 Weeks

How far along: 38 Weeks!
Maternity clothes: Yes
Stretch marks: No
Sleep: Throbbing pain in my hands and arms are still making sleep rough. I'm wearing a stabilizing braces  on both hands which help a lot
Best moment of the week: Spending the weekend at the beach not doing much other than laying by the water, swimming and relaxing. Also getting to see Harper at the growth ultrasound - she's estimated to weigh 6lbs 8oz!
Worst moment of the week: Not keeping much food down on Wednesday
Running/Workouts: Had three great runs at the hotel gym at the beach - ran a total of 14 miles over the weekend and 4 more miles at home this week.
Missing anything: My stamina and energy
Movement: She's always a very active little baby - savoring every moment as I know I will miss it most when she's here
Things that make me queasy: I've thrown up 4 days in a row this week and couldn't keep breakfast or lunch down Wednesday. Milk is definitely a trigger. Pretty miserable when it comes to all the nausea and vomiting
Energy level: Goes up and down - but usually pretty low
Labor signs: I am now about 2cm dilated!! I had some uncomfortable contractions all day at work Tuesday, but probably due to working hard and not hydrating properly. Those have subsided and now I'm just feeling the usual Braxton Hicks contractions. Lastly, and most disgusting, but I lost my mucus plug! I almost went straight to the hospital...but then I remembered I'm a labor and delivery nurse and it really means absolutely nothing!
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding ring on or off: Took it off this week just to be safe
Mood: Nervous
Looking forward to: Meeting this little baby very soon
Something surprising about being pregnant: I feel like a ticking time bomb. The uncertainty of labor is killing me. Will I go into labor on my own? Will I need an induction? When will labor come? Will my water break? Where will I be and what will I be doing? I'm pretty "type A" and like to plan things and control things - labor, however, is completely unpredictable and there is no way you can control anything about it. I plan on going with the flow and trusting that my body knows what to do. But yes, the unknown is absolutely terrifying

She looks a little too cozy in there....
