38 Weeks

How far along: 38 Weeks!
Maternity clothes: Yes
Stretch marks: No
Sleep: Throbbing pain in my hands and arms are still making sleep rough. I'm wearing a stabilizing braces  on both hands which help a lot
Best moment of the week: Spending the weekend at the beach not doing much other than laying by the water, swimming and relaxing. Also getting to see Harper at the growth ultrasound - she's estimated to weigh 6lbs 8oz!
Worst moment of the week: Not keeping much food down on Wednesday
Running/Workouts: Had three great runs at the hotel gym at the beach - ran a total of 14 miles over the weekend and 4 more miles at home this week.
Missing anything: My stamina and energy
Movement: She's always a very active little baby - savoring every moment as I know I will miss it most when she's here
Things that make me queasy: I've thrown up 4 days in a row this week and couldn't keep breakfast or lunch down Wednesday. Milk is definitely a trigger. Pretty miserable when it comes to all the nausea and vomiting
Energy level: Goes up and down - but usually pretty low
Labor signs: I am now about 2cm dilated!! I had some uncomfortable contractions all day at work Tuesday, but probably due to working hard and not hydrating properly. Those have subsided and now I'm just feeling the usual Braxton Hicks contractions. Lastly, and most disgusting, but I lost my mucus plug! I almost went straight to the hospital...but then I remembered I'm a labor and delivery nurse and it really means absolutely nothing!
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding ring on or off: Took it off this week just to be safe
Mood: Nervous
Looking forward to: Meeting this little baby very soon
Something surprising about being pregnant: I feel like a ticking time bomb. The uncertainty of labor is killing me. Will I go into labor on my own? Will I need an induction? When will labor come? Will my water break? Where will I be and what will I be doing? I'm pretty "type A" and like to plan things and control things - labor, however, is completely unpredictable and there is no way you can control anything about it. I plan on going with the flow and trusting that my body knows what to do. But yes, the unknown is absolutely terrifying

She looks a little too cozy in there....

37 Weeks

How far along: 37 Weeks - "TERM"....even though 39 weeks is officially full term
Maternity clothes: Still living in my staple wardrobe items - long skirts, tank tops, and cargo pants
Stretch marks: Nope
Sleep: Sleep has been rough this week due to my newest pregnancy symptom - carpal tunnel syndrome.  I wake up throughout the night with one or both hands completely numb and recently, it has turned painful and makes it hard to fall asleep
Best moment of the week: So many wonderful moments this week - took our maternity pictures with Absolute Love Photography. Had a surprise baby shower thrown by the wonderful ladies I work with - I had absolutely no idea, everything was pink and it was just perfect! They were proud that they made me cry! Lastly, I'm spending this weekend at the beach for three nights with my family!
Worst moment of the week: Constant right rib pain has been pretty rough this week
Running/Workouts: Running is tough but still managing to keep it up. Best run was today at 37 weeks - ran 4.1 miles in 40 minutes!
Missing anything: No - But I've been thinking about things lately that I will miss about being pregnant. I will miss resting my hands on top of my belly. I will miss feeling her wiggle around and kick. I will miss my bump. I will miss eating Panera bread without guilt. I will miss being that "pregnant runner".
Movement: She has been quite active this week and I'm loving every second of it. Trying my best to catch some of her movement on camera, but every time I start recording she stops moving.
Cravings: Nectarines
Things that make me queasy: Threw up once this week and pretty nauseated a couple mornings this week - so ready to bed done with all of that
Energy level: Mentally I have loads of energy - physically, it's hard to get motivated to do much
Labor signs: Had a few mildly painful and uncomfortable contractions this week - nothing serious and nothing that lasted very long
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding ring on or off: On
Mood: Happy
Looking forward to: Enjoying the rest of this weekend at the beach relaxing and getting my baby bump tan on!
Something surprising about being pregnant: A few new pregnancy symptoms have surfaced this week - as I mentioned above, carpal tunnel has hit bad. The numbness and throbbing pain throughout the night make sleeping difficult. I've also got some pretty intense swelling in my ankles - Officially rocking cankles! And it's pretty bad, like 4+ pitting edema (for my nursing friends). Luckily, my hands and face haven't really swollen much. Looking forward to both of these symptoms magically going away once I deliver!

 Work Surprise Baby Shower Pictures!

My swollen cankle on Thursday :(
Thankfully it's not alway this bad

36 Weeks

How far along: 36 Weeks
Maternity clothes: Finally bought my first pairs of nursing bras - Kinda weird
Stretch marks: No - hoping to make it 4 more weeks!!
Sleep: Sleep remains rough - most nights I'm able to fall asleep pretty quickly, but I continue to toss and turn all night and make frequent trips to the bathroom
Best moment of the week: Hearing that I'm already 1 CM dilated! It might not be much, but it's  certainly a good place to start!
Worst moment of the week: None
Running/Workouts: Still running - still lots of pelvic pressure and hip pain throughout the day. Continuing to take it day by day, workout by workout
Missing anything: I really do miss laying or sleeping on my back
Movement: Finally felt and saw her have the hiccups! We even listened with the doppler and could hear them! It was hilarious! The next day I noticed it again as I was laying in the pool.
Cravings: Sour gummy worms - don't even know where that came from
Things that make me queasy: Gagging and queasiness has been pretty minimal this week
Energy level: Still pretty low
Labor signs: No changes in the amount of pressure or contractions I feel. But like I mentioned above, so excited to be 1cm!
Belly button in or out: Just barely in
Wedding ring on or off: On
Mood: Happy, a little emotional and anxious
Looking forward to: Maternity pictures (today actually) and celebrating my nephews 11th birthday!
Something surprising about being pregnant: I've reached the point where getting kicked hurts. Within the last three or so days, she has set up shop under my right rib and holy hell does it hurt. Most times I am forced to sit straight up or slanted to avoid pain. Or even better, I sit with my hand pressing down on her body out of my ribs. It's a constant reminder that there seriously is a real live, little person living inside me! The closer I get to delivery, the more torn I feel - I'm ready for the back pain and pelvic pressure to be over with, BUT I am so gonna miss just being pregnant. Feeling her move. Watching my tummy move with her movements. Indulging every once in a while without guilt. Feeling cute with a huge tummy. All the fun things associated with being pregnant. I will be doing my best to embrace both the good and the bad for the next FOUR weeks!
