Better late than never!

I'm baaack! After posting my first "post" I kinda got side tracked with a little thing called life and neglected to keep this thing up to date! Therefore let me fill you in on the past month!

Trip to Florida February 23 - March 6:
*Booked a wedding venue and finally decided on a wedding date!! (October 26th, 2012)
 (Photo curtsey MikeBriggsPhotography/Google Images)

*Got engagement photos taken (dogs included!)
(Here's just a little sneak peak...)

*Ran the Walt Disney World Princess Half Marathon with my Mom and sister-in-law! (Finished 1:58:19....longest half marathon ever for me, but finished on a bum ankle was more that enough to be a victory for me!)

*Went to the dentist (No cavities, baby!)
*Tried on wedding dresses for the first time (haven't found the ONE yet)
*Got to see some good friends in Florida like Marlyn and Jennifer (both are bridesmaids in my wedding)

*Went shopping!
*Went to the beach!

*Spent some quality time with my family!

After getting back to Denver it was back to work...(and back to filming some awesome dance dares at work)
(Here's a clip of one of the many dance dares taken...hoping to get a little compilation together before possibly sending to Ellen!)

Since being back in Denver:
*Booked a photographer and harpist for the wedding, ordered save the date cards, and bought my wedding shoes!
(UhOh...somebody's FABULOUS)

*Most importantly, I finally went to see a sport medicine doctor, got an MRI of my ankle and a diagnosis....

This diagnosis is both good and bad. Bad because the problem has progressed from Tendonitis (inflammation of the Achilles) to Tendinosis (microtears in the tissue in and around the tendon caused by overuse). The good news is that he is very optimistic that conservative treatment (rest, stretches and a brace worn only at night) will help. I'm even allowed to start slowly returning to running in a week or so. . .
 (The night brace)

So that's about it. If you're reading this, I hope my neglectfulness hasn't deterred your interest in my blog! My goal is to write a new post about once a week. . .I promise to try and keep it interesting and share some pretty cool things with you! This is only the beginning!

  1. I so enjoy reading your blog...always makes me smile and brings back memories...such a great idea!

  2. Awesome blog! Your foot brace looks like so much fun to wear!! Hopefully you actually wear it like its prescribed, unlike most of my patients and their arm braces. Love the wedding shoes, yay flats! (Looks like they are)
